Hi John,

Good to have another Bruce Lee fan here.

So which martial arts style d you practice then?

Thanks for your comment regarding keeping your friends and family safe with the use of the great art of kung-fu (only use for defence, mind).

Hi Cliff,

Thank you for your insightful comment on being yourself, especially in regards your north american roots.

I'm sure Bruce would agree, that despite what labels we choose to give ourselves, as well as the external pressures to conform to these limiting ideals, we must find the courage to liberate ourselves from this prison of illusion.

When one eventually liberate oneself, one can then go on to discover their true selves and purpose in life.

As a north american native identy is a really big part of begin yourself you are judged as begin wild and crazy so you try and live that but does not seem to work out because natives are taught at a young age to respect everything but labeled that we do not do anything with are land.We are saving it and having respect for it we are the care takers saving it for future generations.Being yourself is taking care off yourself and people around you and the land that is a part of you.I agree with Bruce totally don't try and be like everyone else because we are each on this earth for different reasons take care of whats right don't let greed blind you take care of earth and she will take care of you.Help someone if they can help them selves to make things better in there life and one day they will help you.Being yourself gives you identity no one can take that away be yourself original.

@Fatima
Happy new year, Fatima! Hope you had a great Xmas with the family. I totally agree with you that being yourself should empower you and makes you feel more relaxed. I think it makes your life more difficult when you have to maintain an act just to please people or for conformity - you also need to remember the lines you have rehearsed beforehand, otherwise your superficiality will shine through.

Just let go and stop the acting - so much easier and better in the long run to be just yourself.

Thank you, my friend.

@Hulbert
As Bruce said, it is very difficult in life to be yourself, as we are already divided psychologically by the time we reach adulthood. We also become actors in life to conform and fit into whatever social circle we find ourselves.

Obviously, the best way forward in life is to be honest with ourselves and to others from the start. Self-knowledge is an important lesson that teaches us who we actually are and how we should live rightly no matter our surroundings and what other people think.

Never let anyone else dictate on who you should be and how you should live your life - be true to yourself always.

Thank you for your wise comment, Mr Lee.
