This particular post is dedicated to my good friend, Mr Blobby of The Wisekick Electronic Cigarette, who is a fellow Truth-Seeker.

We are both on a Mission Impossible to avoid being distracted by the very tools of propaganda wielded by those in power, and to relieve our conditioned minds so that it has the freedom to perceive the truth which has been conveniently obscured from our view up to now.

So why don’t you join us?

Your mission should you choose to accept it, is to:

turn off the TV and radio
dispose of the newspapers
question everything you have been told and taught to be true
inquire for yourself to discern what the truth may be – in other words, educate yourselves
Seek and gain the practical and beneficial knowledge that can actually help you to become conscious beings, self-reliant, self-determined, pragmatic and wise
Look within yourselves for the true answers towards achieving your aims in life – the truth and wisdom is within you to use to your advantage
Take responsibility for your own health, income, and general well-being

This illusory existence that has been conditioned into all our minds must be dealt with by us making an effort to destroy these false images which are destroying us – so emancipate yourselves and see what is.

Once we can see, there then maybe a realistic possibility that we can make this world a paradise that it’s capable of becoming – and that’s no frivolous statement that I’m making here…it can be done…it will be done.

This message will self-destruct in five seconds…

Use ‘The Secret’ Wisdom of the Power of Thought to Attract your Heart’s Desire

Here is what the Wikipedia synopsis of The Secret reveals,

‘The Secret, described as a self-help film, uses a documentary format to present the Law of Attraction. As described in the film, the “Law of Attraction” principle posits that feelings and thoughts can attract events, from the workings of the cosmos to interactions among individuals in their physical, emotional, and professional affairs. The film also suggests that there has been a strong tendency by those in positions of power to keep this central principle hidden from the public.’

I have to say, it can’t be that much of a secret now that every Tom, Dick and Harry knows about it. And one also has to say that there are many other “get rich quick” books on the same subject of supposedly empowering your thoughts towards attracting everything your heart desires.

I’m trying not to be too cynical here, but some of these type of books and videos can perhaps be called money making exercises (not particular for you), as there is very little evidence to suggest that they actually work for you – and that is opposed to using good old common sense and self-knowledge (which they do not encourage) to positively negotiate life with.

However, I will remain open minded about the claims of this so-called hidden knowledge, as I do feel that the mind (if liberated and used correctly) can be a powerful tool of wisdom that can both overcome adversity, and offer us a clear path towards achieving our goals in life.

If ‘The Secret’ (shhh…it’s so secret I can’t talk about it) can somehow provide us with something useful (other than just thinking of ways to accumulate money) that we all can learn from and help improve every facet of our lives, then perhaps it’s worth a look.

A book that I also want to turn your attention to and that is featured in the post, ‘Think Your Way to a Successful Life with The Master Key System’, is the ‘The Master Key System’ written by Charles F. Haaneland – this book is very much in the same vein as ‘The Secret’. I have only skimmed through the book (yes, I fell for the hype and purchased a copy) thus far, and it does seem to contain some self-empowering passages (in exercise form) if nothing else.

I will let you know if all the things that I truly desire in life come true by me just thinking about them…but somehow, I’m not too sure that Liverpool FC (an English football team I have supported since a lad) will ever win the Premier League, no matter how hard I direct my thoughts towards that seemingly impossible dream.

Liberate Your Mind with the Empowering Wisdom of Hip-Hop – Part 1

Music can be an empowering and educational art of communication, which can both be spiritually moving and liberating for the mind. One such music genre that fits into the aforementioned, and that I’m a big listener of, is none other than Hip-Hop.

For those of you who have been up until now misconceived by the media’s portrayal of Hip-Hop, let me now make you become aware that its true purpose was not for black men to: disrespect women and call them “My Bitches!”; speak with all profanities all of the time; accumulate as much money as possible illegitimately; kill as many other black men as possible for reputation only. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Hip-Hop, which actually derived from African tribal music and dance (as promoted by hip-hop originator Afrika Bambaataa), was a tool for the black community (who were, and perhaps still are disillusioned about life in an America that discriminates against them – although, conditions have improved somewhat since the 1960’s; but perhaps not enough) to educate and empower themselves against the oppressive and difficult atmosphere they found themselves in. Black people had at last found a vehicle for them to express themselves and their culture vocally (MC’ing, or Rapping) and physically (Break-Dancing, or B-boying).

The poetic message purported by many hip-hop artists such as KRS-One, was for one to gain self-understanding, wisdom and knowledge of one’s roots which helped to: raise black consciousness; spiritually motivate one to achieve success; encourage unity amongst an uneducated people who have been mostly misguided by an ignorant and divisive society.

For the many poor black people who lived in a decadent ghetto, Hip-Hop was an instrument for them to speak the real truth, in rhyme-form, about their struggles in life and to encourage the black youth not to go down the path of self-destructive activities, such as crime and drugs; but to instead get an education so that they can escape their apparently chosen fate of either being killed in a gang-related shooting, or going to prison.

Hip-Hop has been mostly given a bad rap (excuse the pun) in recent times by ignorant political party members, religious leaders, or anyone else looking for a scapegoat for society’s destructive problems. This is perhaps due to what you may call Gangsta Rap, which is a new phenomenon that is seemingly more readily promoted by record labels and music video channels in today’s culture of sex, violence and money.

The ‘Gangsta Rap’ mentality no doubt represents a negative and false portrayal of black people in general, and can go on to influence and affect the psyche of young, stereotyped black men (especially those without any positive role models or an active father figure in their lives) trying to find their way in a society that seemingly expects them to become nothing but criminals or hoodlums – and as such, they would sometimes oblige and play the role of “Public Enemy #1″. It is no accident why “Black-on-Black” crime is so rife both here in England and America.

There are plenty of conspiracies as to why ‘Gangsta Rap’ is so popular, here’s one for example: ‘CIA Invented Rap Too Destroy The Black Community!’, but I do not wish to entertain any such theories here, as it doesn’t actually find a solution for this apparent epidemic that infects the black community.

Let me now reiterate, ‘Gangsta Rap’ is not True Hip-Hop!

In conclusion: The lesson here is that it’s easy to blame something that we don’t understand for social problems, but we need to remove our prejudices before we can actually see the positiveness and wisdom of this misunderstood and stigmatised art form of black culture.

The Universe Teaches us a Wise Lesson of Humility

I came across an interesting post recently written by Ryhen entitled, ‘Do You Think You Are Special?’, which was on his blog Virtual Synapses.

This particular post has stuck in my mind ever since because of the pictures it contained, which left me speechless. You can now see for yourselves a video representation of the pictures here.

Warning before watching the following video: For all those people who revel in their self-importance and pettiness, be prepared to have your self-imposed bubble of pretentiousness well and truly burst:

Hopefully you would have all learned a thought-provoking lesson after watching that – I did. In fact, it taught me a cold hard truth about myself and where my actual place is in this unfathomable Universe.

I felt both truly humbled and vulnerable after seeing our seemingly insignificant planet floating in an infinite black sea of galactic planets and stars.

We as a conceited species often think that we are the most important entity in existence because of our advancements in language, communication, technology, science and medicine.

Man goes as far as thinking he is God (a limited term that he created) because of his mastery of many things (including over each other) on earth and his limited exploits into space. But in all truth, we are actually insignificant, because despite this sought-after knowledge that we have accumulated over thousand of years, we have yet to solve the modern-day problems that continues to constrict our growth and peaceful co-existence with one another.

After all, our minds are synonymous with the universe, where we all share one universal infinite consciousness which, inexplicably, has been made limited and divisive by knowledge.

We are perhaps fortunate and blessed to have life on such a minuscule planet, especially when compared to the many other planets in our vicinity that have been found not have any signs of life.

There will come a time when the Universe will have had enough of our folly and decides to erase this lonely ‘Pale Blue Dot’. Before that happens we must at least realise our true purpose here by expanding our minds like the great vastness of space and use wisdom for the greatest good – which would be as significant as the Cosmos itself.

Our planet (Yes, OURS) may look like an insignificant dot when viewed from afar in the infinite sea of space, but viewed from the perspective of nature’s workings in providing and sustaining life here, it is truly magnificent – so maybe we are all special in that respect.
